1958 Chevrolet Delray Wiring Diagram
Tags: belair, biscayne, chevrolet, delray, wiring diagram
Herein you will see a wiring diagram of the 1958 Chevrolet Delray, Biscayne, and Belair with V8 engine. The Delray was a two-door club coupe featuring an upgraded vinyl upholstery with “waffle-like” pleating, color-keyed to the exterior, along with carpeting and other minor upgrades. The standard equipment was otherwise essentially similar to the regular 210 models. In 1958, the Delray became a distinct series of its own, taking the place of the 150. The Delray was Chevrolet’s price-leading, no-frills model, with the more expensive models being the Biscayne, Bel Air and Impala (the last being a sub-model of the Bel Air).
A three-model Delray series displaced the One-Fifty, and Biscayne sedans edged aside the Two-Ten, while Bel Air/Impala topped the line. Nomads were now ordinary four-doors, so the only two-door wagon was the bottom-line Yeoman. A low-budget Delray might carry the top 348 cubic inch big-block, or even a 283 fuelie. Styling cycles normally went three years, but the tasteful ’58 body lasted only one season.

It shows the various electrical circuits, fuses, distributor, etc. It also includes electric windows, seats, wipers, etc. To view the complete 1958 Chevrolet Delray, Biscayne, and Belair with V8 engine wiring diagram, click the picture above to download.

Herein you will see a wiring diagram of the 1959 Buick for all models. There are three major model in this year; LeSabre – The Thriftiest Buick, Invicta – The Most Spirited Buick, and Electra – The Most Luxurious Buick. For 1959, the Electra and Electra 225 both used the General Motors C-body shared with the Oldsmobile 98 and all Cadillac, riding on a longer 126-inch (3,200 mm) wheelbase than the B-body LeSabre and Invicta, both of which rode on 123 inches (3,100 mm). The standard and only available engine was the 401 cubic-inch Wildcat V8 with four-barrel carburetor, 10.25 to 1 compression ratio and 325 horsepower (242 kW) mated to a two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission, which was also standard equipment along with power steering and power brakes using Buick’s unique 12-inch (300 mm) finned aluminum brake drums. Power windows and seat were standard on the Electra 225 convertible and optional on all other models.
The Invicta series was introduced as a full line of body styles for model year 1959. The Invicta was a continuation of the Buick Century concept that mated the standard size Buick LeSabre body with Buick’s larger 401 in³ Nailhead V8 engine, yielding what was referred to as “the banker’s hot rod”. As one might expect of a hot rod, engine and transmission were among the main features of the Buick Invicta. The 401-cubic-inch engine was a bored and stroked update of Buick’s first overhead-valve V-8 from 1953 . The Buick Invicta’s standard transmission was the Twin Turbine torque-converter automatic featuring variable-pitch and fixed-vane stators. This improved descendent of Buick’s Dynaflow was accompanied by an optional Triple Turbine variant, which had just been introduced in 1958.

1953 Pontiac Wiring Diagram

Herein you will see a wiring diagram of the 1953 Pontiac. Pontiac had a new body for ’53 featuring a one-piece windshield, a wrap-around rear window and a flatter deck lid that more abruptly ended, increasing the trunk capacity. The wheelbase grew 2 inches to 122” and the front suspension geometry was revised with different control arms and mounting points; which resulted in the wheels actually following a curve instead of wanting to “track” in the opposite direction. These suspension components all look very similar so you need to know what model year they came from if you’re shopping a swap meet or salvage yard. The instrument panel was all new in 1953; the starter button was gone in favor of a turn-key ignition switch. The new panel also housed the heater defroster controls and radio, if equipped; all in all a comprehensive design unlike many other cars of the day that tacked on accessory controls haphazardly. Power steering became available for the first time in 1953, a long awaited feature. The steering ratio was the same 25:1 whether manual or power-assisted, but it did make driving much easier. The other new option for 1953 was Autronic Eye headlamp dimming; this was also available on Olds and Cadillac.

The 1956 Chevrolet had a sharper looking front grille and a little more chrome on the sides. The results was a car that looked more like a Cadillac. Market trends at the time called for bigger cars, brighter cars with more horsepower and better performance.
