1965 Porsche 911S Wiring DiagramThe following diagram shows the 1965 Porsche 911S wiring diagram. The Porsche 911 is acclaimed the world’s best all-around sports car. The earliest edition of the 911 had a 130 PS (96 kW; 128 hp) flat-6 engine. The car had four seats although the rear seats were very small. It was mated to a four or five-speed manual transmission. In 1966 Porsche introduced the more powerful 911S,–”S” for Super, the engine’s power raised to 160 PS (118 kW; 158 hp). The S also received chassis upgrades to match its extra power. These included a rear anti-roll bar, Koni shocks, ventilated instead of solid-rotor disc brakes all-round and — soon to be a 911 hallmark — pretty, five-spoke Fuchs alloy wheels. 1965 Porsche 911 Wiring DiagramHerein you will see a wiring diagram of 1965 Porsche 911. The 911 production started in September of 1964. An all-steel body/chassis combination was used, with space-saving MacPherson struts up front and ZF rack-and-pinion steering. Rear independent suspension used transverse torsion bars and semi-trailing arms. Brakes were four-wheel disc, with drums mounted in the center portion of the rear discs for the hand-brake. Tires were 165-HR-15 radials. Inside, comfortable Recaro bucket seats were standard. The six-cylinder engine was laid out horizontally; two banks lay flat on opposing sides of the crankshaft, with each bank having its own overhead camshaft (SOHC). An 80mm by 66mm bore-to-stroke ratio displaced 1991cc, with space reserved for future displacement increases. Twin Solex carburetors and 9:0-1 compression helped the 2.0 litre engine produce 148-bhp at 6100 rpm.
